LingoPass! is a Unique Global Language Exchange Initiative.

LingoPass! solves many of the problems associated with traditional language exchange:

Language Domination - One partner speaks their target language better. As a result, there is little effort to switch to the weaker target language.
Preparation & Effort - Partners are not prepared or make little effort to be helpful.

In order to join the group, students must add a practice session. After adding a session, the student's membership is automatically upgraded (free) for one-week, during which time they can attend all practice sessions by other members.

To add a practice session, students find a topic to discuss (article, video, course material, etc.), and complete an online form. Students can select any day/time. The form requires them to add five vocabulary words and create five questions that they will use to keep the dialog moving. When it's time to host his/her session, the student will return to the online audio/visual chat room on LingoPass! With thousands of members contributing from around the globe, students have the opportunity to practice speaking around-the-clock.

Each session is dedicated to one target language. As such, there is no need to match languages by partner. Participants do not need to match schedules. They only need to look in the calendar to see when practice sessions are available in the language they are learning. They can read the topic, summary, vocabulary, and questions to be discussed. Since practice sessions are held in one language, there is no conflict with language domination.

Note: Students are not expected to teach each other. The goal is to provide opportunities to practice speaking on a wide variety of topics in a structured forum.
